As the Malayalam film industry reels from the recent Hema Committee report, which has exposed serious allegations of discrimination and sexual harassment, Indian actor and comedian Biju Kuttan has managed to capture attention for a different reason. Amidst the turmoil, Kuttan's light-hearted dance video has garnered widespread engagement from fans.

In the midst of the ongoing controversy, Biju Kuttan, known for his work in Malayalam cinema, has shared a video of himself dancing to Bollywood star Vicky Kaushal’s song "Tauba Tauba." The video features Kuttan effortlessly performing the popular dance steps alongside his daughter. The post has not only delighted fans but also elicited a flurry of amusing comments.

One user wrote, "‘Amma’kk pranavedana, Biju Kuttann Veena vayana," which is a popular phrase in malayalam that is similar to the phrase, 'while a fire destroyed the city of Rome, the emperor Nero played his violin'. Another commented on the appearance of a comedic photo from the film Chota Mumbai placed on a shelf in the background, saying, "No one should miss that photo of Chota Mumbai movie that is placed there."

The video has been widely praised for Kuttan’s dance skills and his ability to execute the steps with apparent ease. Dancer Suhaid Kukku joined Biju's fans in acknowledging his skills.

This light-hearted distraction comes at a time when the Malayalam film industry is under intense scrutiny. The recent release of the Justice Hema Committee’s report has sent shockwaves through the industry. The report, which was submitted to the Kerala government in December 2019 and made public on August 19, 2024, details severe instances of discrimination, exploitation, and sexual harassment faced by women in the industry.
