Chennai: A video clip of actor Sivakarthikeyan at the office of Bollywood director Sanjay Leela Bhansali has sparked speculation about whether the Tamil cinema star is set to make his Bollywood debut.

The clip, which has gone viral, shows Sivakarthikeyan arriving at the popular director’s office, triggering excitement on social media. Many fans are wondering if a pan-Indian project is in the works. No official statement has been made so far.

Sivakarthikeyan, whose most recent release was director AR Murugadoss’s 'Madharaasi', will next appear in director Sudha Kongara’s highly anticipated period film 'Parasakthi'. The makers have announced that filming is complete and the movie is scheduled for a Pongal release on January 14 next year.

The first schedule of 'Parasakthi' was shot in Madurai, followed by the second in Sri Lanka and the third in Pollachi, Tamil Nadu. The period drama, set in the 1960s in the then state of Madras, also stars Atharvaa, Ravi Mohan and Sreeleela.

A teaser shows Sivakarthikeyan’s character at Pachaiyappa’s College, going door to door in search of something. He emerges as a fearless leader, spearheading a student protest against an unjust system. In one scene, a wall order reading “Students – do not touch” is altered to “Do not touch students.” The teaser also hints that Ravi Mohan’s character intends to kill Sivakarthikeyan’s character.

Tentatively referred to as #SK25 for being Sivakarthikeyan’s 25th film, Parasakthi features music by GV Prakash, cinematography by Ravi K Chandran, and stunts choreographed by Supreme Sundar.
