Bollywood actress Sheeba Akashdeep has shared a distressing experience from the sets of the 1995 film Surakshaa, on a confrontation with actor Aditya Pancholi that led to her leaving the film halfway. In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Sheeba opened up about the incident, which took place during the filming of the movie, and how it deeply affected her.

Recalling the incident, Sheeba explained that it was a late-night shoot, and she had just completed two shifts. Exhausted, she was resting in her car when she was called to the set. "I was tired, it was the middle of the night. I came to the sets after doing two shifts. I was sleeping in my car, wrapped up in a blanket. I stepped out of the car for the shot...The director was about to explain the shot...he (Aditya) turned and said, 'Do like that' something, and I responded, 'You do your own work na,'" Sheeba recalled.

Her seemingly harmless response triggered a massive outburst from Aditya Pancholi, who began shouting at her in the middle of the road. Sheeba expressed her fear and frustration, describing how the situation escalated. "He got triggered and screamed in the middle of the road late at night," she said.

In a state of shock and emotional distress, Sheeba looked to the producer for support but was met with indifference. "I was scared. I looked at the producer while crying, but he didn't even look at my face. He didn’t understand what to do when the hero and heroine of the film were arguing on the set," Sheeba shared.

Feeling unsupported and overwhelmed, Sheeba made the decision to leave the set. "I sat in my car, slammed the door, and left. That was the first time I left the set like that," she said. The actress revealed that she later informed the producer of her decision, citing the actor’s behavior and the lack of intervention from the production team. "I told the producer that he did nothing while the actor was scolding me, and I wouldn't come to the set anymore," Sheeba added.

She ultimately did not return to complete the film, and Surakshaa, which starred Sunil Shetty, Saif Ali Khan, Divya Dutta alongside Aditya Pancholi was released in 1995.

Sheeba Akashdeep, who made her Bollywood debut in 1991 with Yeh Aag Kab Bujegi, had already made a name for herself in the industry with her role opposite Salman Khan in Sooryavanshi (1992). She was last seen on-screen in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani (2023).
