Australia in Focus at IFFI 2024
In a notable addition, Australia will feature prominently in the 'Country Focus' segment of this year's festival. The Ministry of Information & Broadcasting shared this exciting update, highlighting the recent signing of an Audio Visual Co-production Treaty between India and Australia. This agreement allows films produced under its umbrella to qualify for grants from both countries, promoting collaboration between Indian and Australian filmmakers.
The "Country of Focus" segment serves as a key feature of IFFI, providing a dedicated platform to showcase contemporary films from Australia. A curated selection of seven Australian films will be presented, reflecting the nation’s unique cultural identity and the vibrant spectrum of stories from its Indigenous and contemporary communities.
