Sarvam Maya review: Netizens call it Nivin Pauly’s ‘comeback film’

Malayalam film Sarvam Maya, directed by Akhil Sathyan and starring Nivin Pauly in the lead, has opened to positive reviews from audiences following its theatrical release on Thursday.
Netizens have taken to social media to praise Pauly’s performance, calling the film a “fresh comeback” for the actor.
On social media, viewers applauded the chemistry between Nivin Pauly and Aju Varghese. One user wrote, “A decent and engaging first half overall. The #NivinPauly-Aju Varghese combo works really well and adds charm, while the supporting cast delivers solid performances. Music and BGM elevate several moments, cinematography looks pleasing, and the screenplay manages to keep the narrative moving smoothly.”
Another user described the film as “a fun ride filled with excellent Nivin-Aju combo. A comeback movie for Nivin Pauly.”
"Pleasant, breezy film, where the humour works big-time. Possibly the most enjoyable Nivin Pauly film since Njandukalude.(Wasn’t a big fan of LAD). Nivin and his comedy timing and charm is the soul. The Delulu character works well. This should do good at the BO,” another user wrote in X.
Taking to Facebook, a user wrote, “Nivin Pauly and his immensely likeable charm is sooo back. Also to add, Riya Shibu is a brilliant casting choice. She has scored heavily so far.”
Apart from the lead pair, Priety Mukhundan, who gained acclaim for her performance in the recent Pan-Indian film Kannappa, plays the female lead.
Critics and viewers alike have praised the technical aspects of the film. Music by Justin Prabhakaran, cinematography by Sharan Velayudhan Nair, and art direction by veteran Rajeevan were highlighted for enhancing the film’s visual appeal.
Director Akhil Sathyan, son of legendary filmmaker Sathyan Anthikad, last work was Paachuvum Albhuthavilakkum, starring Fahadh Faasil in the lead role.
