Salman Khan announces new film with Nayanthara; Eid 2027 release confirmed

Salman Khan has officially confirmed that his next big-screen outing, directed by filmmaker Vamshi Paidipally, will arrive in cinemas on Eid 2027.
The announcement came on Friday, shortly after the film, currently untitled, began production in Mumbai earlier this week. The project, tentatively titled ‘SVC63’, is being mounted as a large-scale action entertainer, headlined by Khan and featuring Tamil superstar Nayanthara as the female lead.
Khan revealed the release date on Instagram, sharing a behind-the-scenes video from the set along with a light-hearted note to fans. In the caption, he wrote, "Thoda durr ki sochna chahiye, That's why announced Eid.. Don't worry iss wali ka bhi bataenge, when the time is right... Patience, thoda sa sabar... Mere Jitna he intezar karna padega, Baherhaal jo apka haal hai wo hi mera bhi haal hai. haha (You need to think a bit ahead-that's why Eid was announced. Don't worry, we'll reveal the other one too when the time is right. Have some patience, just a little. You'll have to wait as much as I am. Honestly, whatever you're feeling right now, I'm feeling the same haha)"
Eid release tradition continues
With the 2027 date locked in, Khan extends his long-running association with Eid releases. Over the years, several of his biggest blockbusters, including ‘Wanted’, ‘Dabangg’, ‘Bodyguard’, ‘Kick’, ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, ‘Sultan’, and ‘Bharat’, have arrived during the festival window, turning Eid into a signature slot for the actor.
The new film is produced by Dil Raju under the Sri Venkateswara Creations banner, with Shirish and Kuldeep Rathore also serving as producers and Rafi Kazi as co-producer. The makers are positioning the project as a major theatrical spectacle that brings together two of Indian cinema’s biggest stars.
Director Vamshi Paidipally, known for hits such as ‘Yevadu’, ‘Oopiri’, ‘Maharshi’ and ‘Varisu’, teams up with Khan for the first time.
Nayanthara returns to Bollywood after ‘Jawan’
Nayanthara, among South India’s most prominent actors, joins Khan in the lead role. She made her Bollywood debut with the 2023 blockbuster ‘Jawan’, co-starring Shah Rukh Khan and directed by Atlee, which crossed ₹1,000 crore at the worldwide box office. Her extensive filmography includes ‘Chandramukhi’, ‘Ghajini’, ‘Billa’, ‘Raja Rani’, and ‘Viswasam’.
Khan’s upcoming line-up
In addition to the newly announced Paidipally project, Khan is also set to appear in ‘Maatrubhumi’, directed by Apoorva Lakhia. The film is inspired by the 2020 Galwan Valley clash between Indian and Chinese forces.
