Recreation of late Silk Smitha; Vishal-starrer Mark Antony’s trailer goes viral

The trailer of Vishal-starrer ‘Mark Antony’, a time travel comedy film written and directed by Adhik Ravichandran, has created quite a buzz on social media for the inclusion of late actor Silk Smitha, often referred to as the ‘Queen of Sensuality’, in the movie. 

Soon after the release of the trailer, rumours began to surface over the recreation of a new age version of Silk Smitha using AI technology. However, later, it was confirmed that the role was played by Vishnupriya Gandhi, who is known for her resemblance with the late actor. 

Taking to Instagram, make-up artist Krishnaveni Babu confirmed the same and wrote, “Awaiting movie (fire emoji) Silk Smitha look and like recreation makeover done by me.” She went on to tag actor Vishal and Vishnupriya Gandhi in the post, thanking them for their support.

‘Mark Antony’, which is all set to hit the theatres on September 15, also stars Suneel, Selvaraghavan, Ritu, Abhinaya, and others in prominent roles.
