The long-running speculation surrounding Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda’s relationship appears to have gained new momentum, after the actress seemingly hinted at their engagement during a recent promotional event.

While promoting her film ‘Thamma’ which has entered the ₹100 crore club just eight days into release, Rashmika was asked about persistent rumours that she and Vijay had recently become engaged. Smiling shyly, she replied, “Everyone is aware about it,” a comment that fans have widely interpreted as a quiet confirmation.

Reports earlier this month suggested that the popular Tollywood pair exchanged rings in an intimate ceremony on October 3, attended only by family and close friends. Neither actor has issued an official statement.

Rashmika’s remarks came just days after a light-hearted moment during the trailer launch of ‘The Girlfriend’, where producer Allu Aravind teased that Vijay Deverakonda might attend the film’s pre-release event. The comment drew loud cheers from the audience and left Rashmika smiling.

According to reports, the couple may be planning a private wedding in February 2026, with only close friends and family expected to attend.

‘Would go to war for them’

Ahead of the wedding, she spoke about how much she looks forward to becoming a mother one day. In an interview with Gulte, Rashmika said she already feels deeply protective of her future children, so much so that she would “go to war” for them.

As per reports, she said, “I’m not even a mother yet, but I already feel I’m going to have kids. I love that it’s going to happen. I feel something deeply for these little humans who aren’t even born yet. I want to protect them. If I have to go to war for them, I should be fit enough to do it. That’s how strongly I feel about it.”

Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda first starred together in the 2018 romantic hit ‘Geetha Govindam’, followed by ‘Dear Comrade’ in 2019. Their on-screen chemistry quickly fuelled rumours of a real-life romance; speculation that has only intensified in the years since.
