My father is not a ‘Sanghi’, says Aishwarya Rajinikanth

Chennai: Film director Aishwarya Rajinikanth, who is the daughter of superstar Rajinikanth, has stated that her father is not a ‘Sanghi’ as people call him.
She was responding to the several social media posts in which her father was termed as being a ‘Sanghi’.
Aishwarya Rajinikanth made the comments during the audio launch function of her latest movie ‘Lal Salaam’, which was held in Chennai. Rajinikanth, who was present at the event, was seen being emotional when his daughter made the statement.
“I try to stay away from social media. However, my team brings certain posts to my notice. I get furious seeing them. I can see people ridiculing my father by calling him a ‘Sanghi’ on social media platforms. I don’t know what that word actually means. If it indicates that my father belongs to a ‘certain’ political party, then I would like to inform the detractors that he is not a ‘Sanghi’. If that was the case, then he would not have acted in a movie like ‘Lal Salaam’. He is a person who possesses great humanitarian values,” said Aishwarya.
‘Lal Salaam’ features Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in the lead roles. Rajinikanth is doing a guest role in the movie. The film is produced by Subaskaran under the banner of Lyca Productions.
