‘Qaatil nahi, Aashiq hoon’: Shah Rukh Khan’s new ‘KING’ poster serves rose and rage

Shah Rukh Khan is giving his menacing action persona a romantic twist in the latest poster of ‘King’. The actor unveiled a new look from the upcoming film on October 27, sporting a rose between his lips while holding on to the intense gaze that has become central to the film’s visual identity.

The image offers a different side of the character fans have been anticipating. With the rose adding a touch of old-school romance to his fierce appearance, the poster hints that ‘King’ may have more to offer than high-octane action.

Shah Rukh accompanied the reveal with a line that captures this contrast. “Aaj phir yaad aaya... Qaatil nahi Aashiq hoon,” he wrote on social media, followed by the hashtag #KING and the film’s release date. The dialogue, which translates to “I remembered once again… I am not a killer, I am a lover”, adds an intriguing layer to the character’s on-screen persona.

The film is scheduled to arrive in cinemas worldwide on December 24, 2026. Its Christmas release, however, places it in the middle of a crowded box-office period, with major titles such as ‘Avengers: Doomsday’, ‘Dune: Part Three’ and Nagarjuna’s upcoming 100th film, ‘King100’, also expected to compete for audience attention.

Directed by Siddharth Anand, ‘King’ features Shah Rukh Khan alongside Suhana Khan, Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, Abhishek Bachchan, Arshad Warsi and Anil Kapoor. The film is produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures.
