Priyadarshan displeased, says Jeyamohan didn't understand the message of the movie

Amid noted writer and critic B Jeyamohan facing backlash over his comments on movie ‘Manjummel Boys’, Priyadarshan expressed displeasure stating that the former had said was “inappropriate” and “derogatory”.
Priyadarshan said, “On the lines of a dialogue from M T Vasudevan Nair's 'Vadakkan Veeragatha', dear Jeyamohan, what you’ve said can be true; also false. Partial truths are there everywhere, but they should not be generalised.”
“You have not got the true message of the ‘Majummel Boys’ which is deep friendship and dedication. Burying its essence with alcoholism can never be accepted. The movie does not promote alcoholism, but emphasizes the need for true friendships,” he added.
Priyadarshan said not all people who drink are evil and those who don't are holy. It's all just a matter of choice.
Priyadarshan concluded his comment by stating that his reaction to the issue doesn't mean he sides with alcoholism.
