Prithviraj teases fans with new still from ‘Vilaayath Budha’; social media abuzz over the ‘M’

Actor Prithviraj Sukumaran has left fans intrigued after sharing a behind-the-scenes still from the promo song shoot of his much-awaited film ‘Vilaayath Budha’. The image, which shows him standing with his back to the camera, features a striking ‘M’ emblazoned on his shirt — a detail that has now ignited widespread speculation on social media about its possible meaning.
The actor’s latest post comes just days after the makers unveiled a striking poster featuring Double Mohan and his gang of five, which has already stirred excitement among moviegoers. The buzz surrounding the film continues to build, as fans attempt to decode the significance of the bold ‘M’, wondering whether it represents Mohan, Marayoor, or something entirely unexpected.
Directed by Jayan Nambiar and produced by Sandeep Senan under the Urvashi Theatres banner, ‘Vilaayath Budha’ is an adaptation of GR Indugopan’s acclaimed novel of the same name. Prithviraj essays the role of Double Mohan — a daring sandalwood smuggler — marking a departure from his previous roles. Priyamvada Krishnan stars opposite him in the female lead.
The screenplay, written by GR Indugopan and Rajesh Pinnadan, promises a powerful blend of revenge, love, and emotion set against the rugged sandalwood forests of Marayoor.
Following Urvashi Theatres’ success with ‘Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum’, ‘Sathyam Paranjal Vishwasikkuvo’, and ‘Saudi Vellakka’, the upcoming film stands as another ambitious venture from the production house. AV Anoop of AVA Productions serves as co-producer.
The cast also features Shammi Thilakan, Anu Mohan, Rajashree Nair, and Teejay Arunasalam, among others. The music is composed by Jakes Bejoy, while cinematography is handled jointly by Arvind Kashyap of ‘777 Charlie’ fame and Renadive. Kashyap, who earlier worked on the Kannada hit ‘Bell Bottom’, brings his distinct visual style to the project.
With the teaser already hinting at a gritty and emotionally charged thriller, ‘Vilaayath Budha’ is currently in its post-production phase and gearing up for a theatrical release soon.
