Premalu, Bramayugam, Manjummel Boys: Blockbusters revive Mollywood in 2024

Kochi: For the first time in the history of Mollywood, three movies 'Premalu', 'Bramayugam', and 'Manjummel Boys' released in the same month collected Rs. 50 crores each, leaving the movie fans excited. Full house theatres with cheering audience even during the exam season, give fresh hopes for the industry starving of consistent hits.

‘Bramayugam's nerve-wracking storyline with just five characters is giving chills with its complimenting black-and-white visuals. The success secret of ‘Premalu’ has to be the laughter elements, and the best amalgamation of friendship and bravery has to be the perfect dote of ‘Manjummel Boys’ holding the audience's attention. This movie is also doing great business in Tamil Nadu.

In 2023, other language films—Jailer, LEO, and Pathan ruled the screens across Kerala, but it looks like 2024 will be a perfect start for Malayalam movies. Adding to this marvelous collection, Tovino's investigation thriller ‘Anveshippin Kandethum’ released on February 9 has globally earned 40 crores, says director Darwin Kuriakose.

Reports also say superhit romantic comedy movie Premalu's Telugu dub version will hit theaters in March. Rajamouli's son, S.S. Kathikeya, has acquired the rights to the film's Telugu version.
