Premalu will be back in theaters in 2025

Kochi: Director Girish AD has announced the much-anticipated sequel to the blockbuster hit ‘Premalu’, which was celebrated for its cinematic brilliance. The announcement of the sequel of ‘Premalu’ was made amidst the jubilation of the film's success in Kochi. The production of the film will commence as the seventh project of Bhavana Studios.

Details about the sequel are currently undisclosed, but director Girish AD hinted at higher expectations from the audience for the second part. Notable personalities including Minister P Rajeev, Fahadh Faasil, Nazriya, and Amal Neerad joined the celebration of the success of ‘Premalu’.

The first part, starring Naslen and Mamitha Baiju, garnered over 100 crores at the box office, becoming a sensation not only in Malayalam but also in Telugu and Tamil languages. Starring Shyam Mohan, Akhila Bhargavan, Sangeeth Pratap, Althaf Salim, and Meenakshi Raveendran, the film captured hearts with its captivating narrative.

The screenplay for the sequel has been penned by Kiran Josey and Girish AD. Directed by Girish AD after the superhits ‘Thanneer Mathan Dinangal’ and ‘Super Sharanya’, the film is produced by Dileesh Pothan, Fahadh Faasil and Syam Pushkaran under the banner of Bhavana Studios.
