Prathap Pothen's aged sister gets prank call; actor warns legal action against TVM native

Mollywood actor Prathap Pothen alleged that a person made a prank call to his aged sister mimicking his voice. He took to his Facebook post and noted that he identified the person and warned of legal action if he continues with prank calls.

The actor stated that the person disturbed his sister by coughing continuously and introducing him as Prathap amid the coronavirus scare with an aim to create panic.

My sister is in her late 80s. She lives in Italy and has a beautiful home in Aluva. Lucky she came back from there before the virus hit that place. She lives alone as her husband and son died a few years ago. I am living in Chennai. I have asked her many times to stay with me, but she refused my offer. But yesterday an idiot on a mobile phone called her pretending to be me. Her driver picked up the mobile and he was told it was me. So he gave the phone to her. The guy immediately started coughing and coughed continuously (he is a failed actor) and overdid the coughing part. My sister said she can’t understand and he kept repeating I am Pratap. She cut the phone and called me. As I was having bath I couldn't answer. She didn’t bother to look at the phone number of the person who called her. But on hearing my name she was worried. I called her back and she was relieved,” wrote Prathap Pothen on his Facebook page.

The actor noted that he traced the number which has its location in Thiruvananthapuram. He warned that strict legal action will be taken against the man if he continues such act.
