Popular influencer Diya Krishna alleges major payment scam by former employees of her brand

Thiruvananthapuram: Influencer and entrepreneur Diya Krishna has accused two former employees of her jewellery and saree brand ‘Oh By Ozy’ of scamming customers out of over ₹1 lakh by rerouting payments to their personal accounts.
Diya, in a series of revelations shared via Instagram stories, expressed her deep shock over the betrayal, especially as it happened during her pregnancy, adding that she had continued to stay involved by filming reels, introducing new stock, and overseeing the transition to their new showroom despite not being physically present every day.
The boutique, which began as an online venture and now operates a physical store in Thiruvananthapuram, is known for its imitation jewellery collections that emulate gold ornaments, alongside a limited saree range. Diya said the scam targeted premium customers and was carried out over several months without her knowledge.
Scam unfolded through personal payment requests
According to Diya, the two female staffers convinced customers that the official QR code-based payment system was down and directed them to transfer money to their personal Google Pay and PhonePe accounts. One of the accused allegedly even renamed her PhonePe account as ‘Oh By Ozy’ to appear legitimate.
Screenshots shared on Instagram revealed conversations and transaction details from affected buyers, with one individual losing as much as ₹55,000 in a single instance. Several others reported being duped out of amounts ranging from ₹1,000 upwards.
One of the former staff members handled customer queries and online orders via WhatsApp and is alleged to have selectively targeted high-value customers, rerouting payments to three separate personal accounts.
Diya, daughter of actor-politician Krishnakumar and sister of actress Ahaana Krishna, confirmed that she intends to pursue legal action against those involved. Diya, who is currently expecting her first child with husband Aswin Ganesan, clarified that all current orders placed through the official website and WhatsApp number are being processed securely.
She assured everyone that the issue had been resolved, stating that all systems were back to normal and pending orders were being dispatched promptly.
