Florida: Lady Gaga left thousands of fans disappointed in Miami after abruptly postponing her final ‘Mayhem Ball’ concert on Wednesday, citing concerns over severe vocal strain. The announcement came just moments before the show was set to begin, with the pop icon revealing the decision on Instagram.

The singer explained that medical advice from both her doctor and vocal coach forced her to call off the performance to avoid risking long-term damage to her voice. “I am really so so sorry but I need to postpone tonight’s show in Miami. During rehearsal last night and my vocal warmup tonight my voice was extremely strained and both my Dr. and vocal coach have advised me not to go on because of the risk it poses,” she wrote.

Gaga, who has been performing live nightly as part of her high-energy tour, admitted that cancelling at the last minute was painful but necessary. “There is a significant risk based on all our combined experience with a show like ours, and as you know, I sing live every night, and even though this was a hard and agonising decision, I would be more afraid of the long-term implications on my voice. I hope you can forgive me and accept my sincerest apologies for any disappointment. Let down. Inconvenience. We are trying to reschedule the show as quickly as possible,” she added.

The postponed Miami concert was the last of three stops in the city, part of the global ‘Mayhem Ball’ tour that began in July at Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena. Ticket holders are expected to receive refunds, though Gaga assured fans that efforts to reschedule are underway.

Uncertainty now surrounds her upcoming schedule, which includes performances in New York City over the weekend and an appearance at the MTV Video Music Awards. It remains unclear if her recent vocal issues will affect those commitments.

The singer’s absence from the stage has coincided with her renewed presence on screen. Gaga is currently making headlines for a surprise cameo in Netflix’s ‘Wednesday’ Season 2 Part 2, where she portrays the ghostly former teacher Rosaline Rotwood. The pop star also released a new track, ‘The Dead Dance’, along with a Tim Burton-directed video, timed to coincide with her appearance in the supernatural thriller series.
