Raghava Lawrence, the actor, director and choreographer who carved a niche for himself in Tamil cinema through the film ‘Kanchana’, is currently busy shooting for ‘Kanchana 4’ alongside other projects like ‘Benz’, ‘Hunter’ and ‘Bullet’. Beyond his film career, Lawrence is deeply involved in social work, supporting the underprivileged through his foundation.

In a gesture that has moved fans across the country, Lawrence recently transformed his first home into a free school for children. The announcement, made via his official X page, has drawn admiration and praise.

“ Kanchana 4 is rolling and halfway through — I’m Happy to Announce That I’m Transforming My First Home into a Free School for Children with my Kanchana 4 Advance - with the First Teacher Being a Child Who Grew Up in my home,” he wrote.

Lawrence claimed that he had purchased the house with savings from his early career as a dance master. He first converted it into an orphanage and he moved with his family into a rented home. As the children who once lived there grew up and became self-reliant, Lawrence felt it was time to repurpose the space once again—for the benefit of children.

He expressed pride in being able to use the home for a meaningful purpose once more and hoped for continued blessings and support from his fans.

Adding a heartfelt touch to the initiative, the first teacher appointed to the school will be a young woman who was raised under Lawrence’s foundation. Her journey from being a beneficiary to becoming an educator marks a full-circle moment in his philanthropic mission.

Lawrence concluded his message with hope: that his idea would be embraced by all, and that the love and blessings of his fans would continue to protect and guide him.
