Nimisha Sajayan faces cyber attack following Suresh Gopi's election victory

Following actor Suresh Gopi's Lok Sabha election win, fellow actor Nimisha Sajayan has become the target of a cyber attack on social media platforms. The attack stemmed from criticisms by right-wing activists over a remark Nimisha made during a protest event several years ago.
Nimisha's response to the cyber attack was to restrict comments on her Instagram account. The controversy traces back to her participation in a protest event against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) held in Kochi. She was quoted saying, "When asked, we didn't give even Thrissur and it is to us they are asking India. We won't give."
This statement was made in the context of Suresh Gopi's popular catchphrase, "Thrissur njan edukkuva" (I am taking Thrissur)," which gained traction during his election campaign.
The resurgence of Nimisha's old statement came in the wake of Suresh Gopi's victory in Thrissur, prompting party workers and sympathizers to dig it up and exploit it as ammunition against her on social media platforms. This led to a barrage of cyber trolls targeting the actor.
