Audiences can expect a busy week on streaming, with multiple new films, thrillers, dramas and returning favourites arriving on Netflix, Prime Video, JioHotstar, ZEE5 and other major services. Here’s a look at the major releases.

Sirai

The Tamil thriller now streaming on ZEE5, follows a police escort assignment that unravels into a sharp commentary on prejudice.The thriller examines the fragility of humanity within an imperfect system.

Tere Ishq Mein

Netflix’s ‘Tere Ishq Mein’ tells a turbulent love story centred on Shankar, a volatile Air Force officer, and Mukti, a psychologist forced to confront the emotional wreckage of their past. The film charts their journey through obsession, heartbreak and a fraught reunion.

Cheekatilo

Prime Video’s new Telugu thriller ‘Cheekatilo’ follows Sandhya, a criminology student who becomes a journalist and true-crime podcaster investigating her best friend’s mysterious death. The series traces her descent into the shadows of crime while wrestling with her own unresolved issues.

Space Gen: Chandrayaan

A dramatised docu-series, ‘Space Gen: Chandrayaan’ lands on JioHotstar, charting ISRO’s turbulent path from the Chandrayaan-2 failure to the triumph of Chandrayaan-3. Featuring Shriya Saran and Nakuul Mehta, it highlights the pressure, determination and resilience behind India’s historic mission.

Eleanor the Great

Netflix introduces ‘Eleanor the Great’, a reflective drama about a 90-year-old woman grappling with grief and mistaken identity in New York. Her decision to live through someone else’s memories brings unexpected attention and moral challenges. It starts streaming from January 24.

Skyscraper Live

Arriving on Netflix on January 24, this high-risk live special, ‘Skyscraper Live’ showcases free-solo climber Alex Honnold attempting to scale one of the world’s tallest buildings in Taipei. The event promises real-time tension and spectacle.

Mark

‘Mark’ is now streaming on JioHotstar with Kiccha Sudeep starring as Ajay, an embattled police officer forced out of suspension to crack a child-kidnapping ring and dismantle a pharmaceutical syndicate – all within a tight 36-hour deadline.

Gustaakh Ishq

The period romance ‘Gustaakh Ishq’ streams on JioHotstar on January 27 and follows Nawabuddin Saifuddin Rahman’s quest to revive his father’s printing press. His search for an elusive poet in Punjab becomes complicated when he falls for the poet’s daughter, thrusting him between ambition and love.

The Bluff

Prime Video rolls out ‘The Bluff’ on January 25, an action-adventure starring Priyanka Chopra and Karl Urban. Chopra plays Ercell “Bloody Mary” Bodden, a former pirate whose quiet life is disrupted by a vengeful ex-captain, forcing her back into peril to protect her family.

It’s Not Like That

The Prime Video drama ‘It’s Not Like That’ streaming on January 25, features Scott Foley as a recently widowed pastor raising three children. When he meets a newly divorced mother, played by Erinn Hayes, their families attempt to rebuild after loss, giving rise to a delicate and complex romance.

Bridgerton (Season 4, Part 1)

The first part of the fourth season of ‘Bridgerton’ returns to Netflix on January 29, this time centring on Benedict Bridgerton. Luke Thompson reprises his role opposite newcomer Yerin Ha, who plays Sophie Baek, a maid who captures Benedict’s attention at a masquerade ball.

Sarvam Maya

Dhurandhar

Ranveer Singh’s successful spy thriller ‘Dhurandhar’ makes its digital debut on Netflix on January 30. Featuring Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal and R. Madhavan, the blockbuster sets the stage for its sequel, ‘Dhurandhar 2’, which is slated for release on 19 March.
