After SRK, Nayanthara signs film with Salman Khan; Fans call it a power move

Mumbai: Nayanthara is clearly on a roll in Bollywood—and this time, she’s teaming up with Salman Khan.
After making a smashing Hindi debut alongside Shah Rukh Khan, the South superstar has now signed her next big project with another Khan, this time in a film directed by Vamshi Paidipally and produced by Dil Raju. With this, Nayanthara becomes one of the rare actresses to headline back-to-back films with two of Bollywood’s biggest superstars.
The upcoming film is set to go on floors in April, and the announcement alone has already created strong buzz online.
This fresh pairing with Salman is especially exciting because it’s something audiences haven’t seen before. New jodi, big scale, and a director known for commercial entertainers—it’s got all the ingredients of a crowd-puller.
Directed by Vamshi Paidipally, the film marks his first collaboration with Salman Khan. The project is backed by Dil Raju, known for mounting large-scale entertainers, which hints that this one will be aimed at a wide, pan-India audience.
The makers welcomed Nayanthara with a grand announcement, setting the tone for what looks like a high-profile film from the very start.

Salman, too, seems to be exploring new combinations and collaborations. Working with a South director and pairing up with Nayanthara shows a shift towards bigger, more inclusive cinema that connects across regions.
Alongside this, Salman Khan is also working on Maatrubhumi, a film based on the Galwan Valley conflict, where he stars with Chitrangada Singh.
