After their engagement on August 8, actors Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala are reportedly planning to tie the knot soon. If media reports are to be believed, the new couple of the block is planning for a destination wedding, that too in Rajasthan.

As per regional media outlets, including News18 Telugu, the couple is considering getting married either by the end of this year or in March 2025. The reports also claimed that Rajasthan is on the top of their destination wedding list alongside Madhya Pradesh and some foreign locations.

While we wait for an official word on this from the couple on this, we take a look at film celebrities who got married in Rajasthan.

Siddharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani

The ‘Shershaah’ couple chose Jaisalmer’s opulent Suryagarh fortress for their wedding. Their extravagant wedding was held over a couple of days at the Fortress Hotel in February 2023. Siddharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani fell in love after they starred together in the 2021 biopic war drama, based on the life of Captain Vikram Batra, who laid down his life during the Kargil war in 1999.

Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha

Udaipur’s The Leela Palace served as the wedding destination for Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha. Their grand Punjabi wedding, which saw Bollywood celebrities and Indian political figures in attendance, was held in September 2023 in the city of lakes. Recalling their first meeting in London in an interview with Raj Shami, Parineeti said, “I swear, I met Raghav, and within five minutes, I knew I was going to marry this man. I didn’t even know if he was married, had children, or how old he was."

Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif

One of the biggest Bollywood weddings of recent times is that of Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif. Held in December 2021, the couple booked the Six Sense Fort Barwara in Sawai Madhopur. The wedding celebrations were held over a couple of days, attended by the who's-who of the Hindi film industry.

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas

Jodhpur’s Umaid Bahwan, which is also the residence for the Royal family of Jodhpur, was the venue for Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas’s wedding in 2018. The functions spanned over several days, featuring traditional Indian as well as a white wedding. Post their wedding in Jodhpur, the couple also held receptions in New Delhi and Mumbai. Theirs is one of the most talked-about weddings not only in India but in Hollywood as well.
