Naga Chaitanya clears final memory of Samantha ahead of big wedding with Sobhita

Actor Naga Chaitanya removed the last remaining trace of his ex-wife Samantha Ruth Prabhu from his Instagram account, ahead of his upcoming wedding to Sobhita Dhulipala. The actor had previously wiped most of his social media presence of Samantha following their separation in 2021, but fans noticed that one post still remained—a photo from a Formula 1 racetrack.

This particular image had been a source of discontent among Samantha’s fans, who had requested him to delete it after his engagement to Sobhita earlier this year. The now-deleted post was captioned “Throw back…Mrs and the girlfriend,” featuring the former couple standing by a red race car. Despite the mounting pressure from social media users, it stayed on his feed until recently, just before his wedding festivities began.

Chaitanya and Sobhita got engaged in August, and following that, eagle-eyed followers observed three posts on his Instagram that still had ties to Samantha. One of those posts was the announcement of their separation in October 2021, which remains on his profile. Another is a poster of their film ‘Majili’, a 2018 release in which they starred together, which has also not been deleted.

Chaitanya and Samantha, once a beloved celebrity couple known as #ChaySam, dated for a few years before getting married in a grand wedding in Goa in 2017. Their split in 2021 took their fans by surprise, though they cited personal reasons for their separation. Post-divorce, both stars have mostly stayed out of the spotlight when it comes to their personal lives.
