Mukesh Khanna reveals Shaktimaan’s comeback with powerful teaser for the new generation | WATCH

Veteran actor Mukesh Khanna, renowned for portraying India’s original superhero Shaktimaan, has thrilled fans with the announcement of the iconic character’s return to Indian screens.

In an exclusive conversation with ANI on Monday, Khanna spoke about his deep connection with the role and the excitement of reprising it. "This is a costume within me... I think personally too, in my mind, this costume has come from within me... I did well in Shaktimaan because it came from within me... Acting is all about confidence. I forget about the camera when I am shooting... I am even happier than the others about becoming Shaktimaan again," the actor shared.

A message for today’s generation

Khanna also reflected on the significance of bringing Shaktimaan back for a new generation. “I am carrying out my duty that I started in 1997 and which went on till 2005. I think my work should reach the public in 2027 because today’s generation is running blindly. They have to be stopped and told to catch their breath,” he explained.

Teaser reveals Shaktimaan’s comeback

On Sunday, Khanna shared a teaser video on Instagram, offering fans a glimpse of Shaktimaan’s return. The video shows the superhero flying and landing in a school, where he sings a song about freedom, while images of Indian freedom fighters like Bhagat Singh, Chandrashekhar Azad, and Subhash Chandra Bose appear in the background.

A nostalgic legacy

Originally aired in 1997 on Doordarshan, Shaktimaan became one of India’s most beloved superhero shows. Running for over 450 episodes, it continues to evoke nostalgia for millions of viewers across the country.
