Kozhikode: Renowned writer and film director MT Vasudevan Nair condoled the death of Mathrubhumi whole-time director PV Gangadharan.

“I shared a brotherly relationship with PVG. We had built a rapport ever since I started living permanently in Kozhikode city. He was a man of great character. I still remember how he had arranged a personal cook for me in his house in Ooty, where I was writing the screenplay for our movie ‘Oru Vadakkan Veeragatha’. PV Gangadharan was someone who thoroughly enjoyed arts and literature,” says MT remembering his dear friend.

MT Vasudevan Nair also recollected how brave a film producer PV Gangadharan was. “He was the primary reason behind the growth of Grihalakshmi Productions. As a producer, he never bothered about the box office results of his movies. PVG, rather focused on making socially relevant quality movies. His demise is an irreplaceable loss to Malayalam cinema,” he added.

“We used to meet quite often or used to talk to each other over the phone. In our conservations, we used to discuss about our families, age-related illnesses and several other issues. Yet another good friend of mine has bid adieu to the world leaving behind a lot of memories,” said MT mourning the death of PV Gangadharan.
