Bollywood actress Mrunal Thakur has finally responded to weeks of swirling dating rumours. The actress recently hit the headlines over speculation linking her to actor Dhanush, and more recently, cricketer Shreyas Iyer. Screenshots of comments exchanged on social media sparked widespread speculation, but neither Thakur nor the alleged co-stars had commented—until now.

A viral Reddit post claimed that Mrunal and Shreyas Iyer had been quietly dating for several months, keeping their relationship under wraps to avoid media attention. While the post drew significant attention online, Mrunal’s recent Instagram story suggests she is taking the rumours lightly.

On Sunday night, she shared a short video of herself receiving a champi (head massage) from her mother. In the clip, she appears relaxed and amused, seemingly unfazed by the ongoing speculation. In her caption, she wrote: “They talk, we laugh. P.S. Rumours are free PR and I love free stuff!”

On the professional front, Mrunal was last seen in Ajay Devgn’s Son Of Sardaar 2. She will next appear in Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, directed by David Dhawan, alongside Varun Dhawan, Pooja Hegde, Mouni Roy, Jimmy Shergill, Chunky Panday, and Maniesh Paul.

She also has Dacoit with Adivi Sesh in the pipeline, and recently announced another romantic drama, Do Deewane Seher Mein, opposite Siddhant Chaturvedi. The makers released a title reveal teaser followed by the first poster, featuring Mrunal and Siddhant. The film is slated for release on 20 February 2026.
