Thiruvananthapuram: Mollywood actress Priyanka Anoop has raised concerns about the unequal treatment of men and women in society, calling for equal justice and media exposure for both genders. Speaking at a press conference alongside Rahul Easwar, she questioned why society tends to support women in every situation and highlighted the disparity in the way men are treated.

Priyanka emphasised the need for the media to equally expose mistakes made by both men and women. "If women make mistakes, they should be given the same punishment as men," she stated, adding that women should face the same consequences as men when they err. She expressed her opinion that "men should not be left out" and argued that husbands, in particular, should not be controlled or confined to their homes.

She said that she is of the opinion that if you give love to men you will receive love.

"I am with men because I have felt that they never get justice. Decisions are being forced on them," Priyanka said. She further suggested that if a woman goes to a hotel room, she should take responsibility for her actions rather than blame men for everything. Priyanka stressed that men are often portrayed negatively in the media, with their faces shown in relation to problems, while the faces of women are blurred out, even if both are equally guilty.

Priyanka, who claimed to have personally fought a legal battle for 20 years and won it, spoke passionately about the importance of fairness and justice for all. She stressed that women should also face punishment if they have committed wrongdoings. "Even if they are women, if they have done wrong, they should be punished," said Priyanka.

During the press conference, Rahul Easwar handed over a draft of the Men's Commission to Priyanka adding a foundation of support for men's rights.
