Mohanlal to play Chemboth Simon in LJP’s ‘Malangotte Vaaliban’

After a long wait, Mohanlal has officially confirmed reports about teaming up with ‘Jallikattu’ director Lijo Jose Pellissery for his next movie.  

Taking to social media, the actor wrote, “I’m delighted to announce that my next project will be with one of the most exciting and immensely talented directors in Indian cinema - Lijo Jose Pellissery.”

According to reports, Mohanlal will play the role of Chemboth Simon in the film, reportedly titled ‘Malangotte Vaaliban’. The film is likely to be set in Andhra Pradesh and will be produced by John and Mary Creative, Max Labs and Century Films.

Meanwhile, Lijo Jose Pellissery’s latest project ‘Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam’, starring Mammootty, will be screened at the International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK).
