Mohanlal-starrer Hridayapoorvam: Sathyan Anthikad and actor reunite after 9 years, shooting begins

The eagerly awaited reunion of Malayalam cinema’s beloved duo, director Sathyan Anthikad and actor Mohanlal, has generated excitement among fans. The announcement comes with the release of viral pictures from the pooja ceremony of their upcoming film, Hridayapoorvam, sparking immense buzz on social media. The first scene shot featured Siddique and Sabitha Anand.

In a simple ceremony, Anthikad and Mohanlal lit the first auspicious lamp, marking the official beginning of the film. The project is produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas.

This marks Anthikad’s 20th film featuring Mohanlal and their fifth collaboration under Aashirvad Cinemas. Their last film together, Ennum Eppozhum (2015), was a major success. The duo’s chemistry, which was well-loved by audiences, has left fans eagerly anticipating their latest collaboration after a nine-year hiatus.

Interestingly, the story is of Anthikad himself. He has promised that the upcoming film will offer a “pleasant” experience but refrained from divulging further details about the storyline. Anthikad has created anticipation by keeping the plot details under wraps.

Cast and crew
Hridayapoorvam features a star-studded cast, with Mohanlal playing the role of Sandeep Balakrishnan. The female lead role is played by Malavika Mohanan. The film also features veteran actor Lalu Alex, along with some fresh faces in key roles. It will see debutant Sonu T.P. as the screenwriter, with Sonu also contributing the screenplay and dialogue. The film’s cinematography is being managed by Anu Moothedath, while Justin Prabhakaran composes the music. Art direction is handled by Prasanth Madhav, and editing is managed by K. Rajagopal.
