Power is an illusion: Mohanlal releases Jathin Ramdas’ ‘Empuraan’ poster on Tovino’s birthday

Tovino Thomas’ 36th birthday on 21 January 2025, is marked by the release of Jathin Ramdas’ character poster from the upcoming film Empuraan. The poster quickly went viral across social media platforms, drawing massive attention and excitement.

The poster of Jathin Ramdas, featuring the tagline “Power…is an illusion!” was unveiled as part of Tovino's birthday. Mohanlal, Prithviraj, Antony Perumbavoor, and other prominent celebrities took to social media to share the poster and wish Tovino a happy birthday. Tovino himself shared the poster.

Jathin Ramdas’ character

Jathin Ramdas’ character, who made a memorable yet brief appearance in the film Lucifer, is set to play a full-length role in Empuraan. In the sequel, Jathin Ramdas will portray the Chief Minister of Kerala, a role that is expected to add much depth to the storyline.

Directed by Prithviraj and starring Mohanlal, Empuraan is the highly anticipated sequel to Lucifer. Scheduled for release on 27 March 2025, the film has been shot across eight states and four countries over the past 14 months. The film’s screenplay is written by Murali Gopi, with Antony Perumbavoor producing. The star-studded cast includes Manju Warrier, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Indrajith, and several others. Notably, foreign stars, such as French actor Eric Ebouney and British actress Andrea Tivadar, will also make appearances.
