Mohanlal pays visit to Mata Amritanandamayi, seeks blessings on her birthday | Video

Actor Mohanlal paid a visit to spiritual leader Mata Amritanandamayi and extended birthday greetings. He sought blessings from the leader at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham campus amid the 70th birthday celebrations, which began at 5 am on Tuesday.

The actor garlanded the leader, fell on her feet and sought blessings. Following which, Amritanandamayi hugged Mohanlal and showered her blessings upon him.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday, Mata Amritanandamayi will be bestowed with the World Leader For Peace and Security Award by the Boston Global Forum (BGF) and the Michael Dukakis Institute for Leadership and Innovation (MDI). Representatives from 193 countries across the globe will take part in the celebrations. 

As a means to ensure crowd management and security arrangements,  police officials led by DIG R Nishanthini and city police commissioner Merin Joseph had visited Amritapuri on Sunday morning. Subsequently, officials of the police, health and fire force departments convened a meeting and evaluated the measures.
