Mohanlal, Mammootty, other stars mourn demise of Dennis Joseph

Mollywood fraternity, including superstars Mohanlal and Mammootty, expressed deepest condolences on the demise of veteran scriptwriter and director Dennis Joseph. Dennis breathed his last following a cardiac arrest on Monday night.
He wrote the script for many superhit films of Mohanlal and Mammootty during the 80's and 90’s. Hence, the two stars shared a close bond with Dennis.
Heartbroken with his demise, the superstars took to their social media pages and paid tributes to their dearest friend.
“ When I am writing for my dearest Dennis, memories started to flow and blocking my hands. Dennis was a king to the world of the screenplay. I was lucky to play many characters created by this king. Dennis greeted all with a calm smile and loved all without expecting anything. I cannot express my bond with him in words. So concluding it in midway, tributes to Dennis,” wrote Mohanlal.
He also lauded Dennis works which entertained the Malayalam film audience.
Dennis penned the script for Mohanlal’s superhit movies including ‘Rajavinte Makan’, ‘Vazhiyorakazhakal’, ‘No 20 Madras Mail’, ‘Bhoomiyile Rajakanmar’ and ‘Geethanjali’
“ I am deeply heartbroken with the sudden demise of Dennis Joseph. He was a good friend who supported me like a brother during my growth and desperate times. But now he is no more there for me. He will be remembered for his great works. Rest in Peace,” Mammootty wrote on his Facebook.
‘Eeran Sandhya’, ‘Nirakkoottu’, ‘New Delhi’, ‘Manu Uncle’, ‘Nair Saab’,’Kottayam Kunjachan’, ‘Adharvam’, ‘Sarovaram’ and ‘Thaskara Veeran’ are some of the popular movies in which Mammootty teamed up with Dennis Joseph.
Director Priyadarshan was shocked to know the demise of Dennis.
“When you talked to me last night, I never thought you will be no more today,” wrote Priyadarshan on his Facebook page.
Actor-turned-politician Suresh Gopi who worked in many movies with Dennis Joseph paid homage to him.
“ Farewell to my dear friend Dennis Joseph who contributed great characters to the Malayalam films and strengthened my film career,” mourned Suresh Gopi.
Dennis Joseph penned the script for Suresh Gopi’s many movies including ‘F.I.R’, ‘Kanyakumari Express’, ‘Bhoppathi’, ‘Nair Saab’ and ‘New Delhi’.
Prithviraj, Manju Warrier, Indrajith, Dileep, Babu Antony, Joju George, Chemban Vinod, Unni Mukundan and many others expressed deepest condolences on the demise of the veteran scriptwriter and director.
