Miraculous escape for Arjun Kapoor and other actors as ceiling collapses on film set in Mumbai!

Mumbai: Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor, Jackky Bhagnani, along with director Mudassar Aziz, were injured after a ceiling on the set of the film collapsed. The injuries are not serious, according to reports.
The accident occurred while they were shooting a song for the film Mere Husband Ki Biwi at the Imperial Palace in Royal Palms, a location known for its long-standing presence in film shoots. Ashok Dubey from the Federation of Western India Cine Employees provided details about the cause of the collapse.
He explained that the vibrations from the sound system used during the shoot caused the ceiling to tremble, eventually leading to its collapse. Dubey added that since the location had been in use for many years, the vibrations from the sound system likely disturbed the structural integrity of the set, resulting in the collapse.
In response to the incident, Ashok Dubey mentioned that the film's team had written to the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, and the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to raise concerns about the safety standards of shooting locations.
Choreographer Vijay Ganguly, who was also present on set, shared his account of the incident. He explained that the first day of shooting went smoothly, but the second day took a dangerous turn when the ceiling collapsed around 6 PM. "We were on the monitor, and suddenly the ceiling collapsed. Fortunately, it fell in parts, and we had a trough to protect us. Had the entire ceiling fallen on us, it could have been disastrous," Ganguly said. He added that while many people were injured, it could have been far worse.
Ganguly also expressed concern over the safety standards at older shooting locations, noting that production companies often assume that safety measures have been checked, but sometimes the locations have not been properly verified before being offered for shoots.
