Kochi: Actress Manju Warrier has reacted after winning the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Actress, sharing an emotional message on social media that read, “What’s yours will find you.”

The award recognises her performance in the Tamil film Asuran, where she starred alongside actor Dhanush under the direction of Vetrimaaran.

Sharing a video of herself receiving the honour along with a picture of the award, Manju thanked the Tamil Nadu government and the entire team behind the film.

In her message, the actress expressed gratitude to the Government of Tamil Nadu, actor Dhanush, director Vetrimaaran, producer Kalaipuli S. Thanu, and the full Asuran team for their support.

She also thanked audiences who have supported her beyond language boundaries, highlighting the love she has received from fans across South India.

Her social media post quickly attracted congratulatory messages from fans and industry colleagues.

Tamil Nadu announces state film awards for seven years

The Tamil Nadu government recently announced state film awards covering the period 2016 to 2022, honouring several leading actors and technicians from the Tamil film industry.

Along with Manju Warrier, several actresses with Malayalam roots received Best Actress honours in different years, including: Keerthy Suresh (Paambhu Sattai), Nayanthara (Aramm), Aparna Balamurali (Soorarai Pottru), Lijomol Jose (Jai Bhim).

Actors Jyothika and Sai Pallavi were also among the award winners. Aparna Balamurali and Keerthy Suresh shared photos from the award ceremony on social media.
