Malayalam cinema’s much-awaited action thriller ‘Bazooka’ finally opened in theatres today, and early reactions from audiences suggest Mammootty’s latest outing is striking the right chords with fans.

Directed by debutant filmmaker Deeno Dennis—son of veteran screenwriter Kaloor Dennis—’Bazooka’ blends a contemporary high-tech plot with intense character-driven action. The film sees Mammootty portraying Antony John, a reclusive and enigmatic businessman whose shadowy past as an ethical hacker gradually comes to light. Joining him on screen is director-turned-actor Gautham Vasudev Menon, playing Kochi City’s IPS officer Benjamin Joshua, a shrewd and relentless cop tasked with tracking down a ruthless serial killer.

Set against a backdrop of digital deception and cat-and-mouse suspense, ‘Bazooka’ follows the unlikely alliance between the calculating businessman and the determined police officer.

Backed by Jinu V Abraham and Dolwin Kuriakose under the Theatre of Dreams banner in collaboration with Saregama’s Yoodlee Films, the project boasts a stellar ensemble. The film boasts a star-studded cast, including Shine Tom Chacko, Siddharth Bharathan, Divya Pillai, Neeta Pillai, Iswarya Menon, and Babu Antony.
