Thiruvananthapuram: ‘Madhumozhi Ithihasa Parvam’, an honorary event organised by Thiruvananthapuram film fraternity to felicitate veteran actor Madhu, who turned 90 on Saturday, witnessed numerous wonderful exchanges among the stars of Mollywood.

Madhu, who took part in the event via video conferencing, was seen cheerful and gave intriguing feedback to questions by actors and filmmakers alike.

When director Adoor Gopalakrishnan asked the nonagenarian to give advice for Mammootty and Mohanlal, Madhu said, “I am confused whether I should advise them and they should advise me. They have grown a lot. Sometimes, when I see them, I feel like I have not been able to do that much. Although they are juniors in terms of age, in my mind, they are the seniors.”

Following this, actor Mohanlal asked Madhu about how he was able to develop a philosophical mind in life. To which, Madhu replied that he was not sure of whether he ever had a philosophical state of mind. He further added that love was the basis of friendship.

He also shared a concern over several media reports suggesting that he made his acting debut through a Hindi movie and emphasised that the report was utterly wrong.

The event was attended by actors Mohanlal, Dileep, Maniyan Pillai Raju, Menaka, directors Priyadarshan, Adoor Gopalakrishnan, producer Saga Appachan among others.
