Mammootty teases grey role in ‘Kalamkaval’ second look reveal

Kochi: Megastar Mammootty on Sunday revealed the second look poster of his upcoming production 'Kalamkaval', heightening anticipation around the film.

The poster was released through Mammootty’s official X handle, where he wrote,
“Presenting the Second Look Poster of #Kalamkaval, Directed by Jithin K Jose.”

Backed by Mammootty Kampany—marking its seventh production—the film carries the intriguing tagline “The venom beneath”, hinting at darker themes beneath the surface.

Wrapped and ready

Kalamkaval completed its shoot in November 2024 and is now in the post-production stage. The screenplay is co-written by director Jithin K Jose and Jishnu Sreekumar. The film also brings together a strong technical team, including cinematographer Faisal Ali, editor Praveen Prabhakar, and music composer Mujeeb Majeed. Action sequences are choreographed by stunt director Action Santhosh.

A different shade for Mammootty?

While the team has remained tight-lipped about the plot, there is speculation that Mammootty will be seen in a character with grey shades—something quite different from his recent roles. However, no official confirmation has been given yet.
