The closing ceremony of the two-day dance workshop organized by 'Amma' at Complex Hall was held recently, with actor Mammootty as the chief guest. The ceremony was attended by actor and director Basil Joseph, who joined Mammootty in presenting certificates to the participants.

Mammootty, known for his wit, cracked jokes during the event, leaving the students in rolls of laughter. He also encouraged the students, saying that the current generation is receiving such an amazing opportunity and exposure to learn unlike them.

Interestingly, Basil Joseph, who shared the stage with Mammootty, had no idea he would be joined by the megastar. He was starstruck like the others and joked that he was told about Mammootty's presence only when he arrived at the location. He added that Siddique, General Secretary of AMMA told him that Mammootty is also coming to add power to the event, joking about this during the speech he said "but I think Mammootty's presence has added too much power to the event!"

The workshop, which was led by Rachana Narayanankutty and coordinated by movie star Sarayu, saw thirty-one participants selected from among numerous applicants. The participants, ranging from twelve years old, came from various locations, including London, Bengaluru, and Mumbai.

The workshop was inaugurated by Mohanlal, president of 'Amma' (The Association of Malayalam Movie Artists), and was a first-time initiative by 'Amma' to promote art and culture and provide a platform for the general public who are art and film lovers. Members of 'Amma' were also present during the closing ceremony.
