Mammootty’s ‘Bulbul’ auctioned for Rs 3 lakhs: Know who grabbed the unique snap

Actor Mammootty's stunning photograph of an 'Indian bulbul' was auctioned for Rs 3 lakhs. The snap is now owned by Achu Ullattil, the chairman of Leena Group of business.
The picture was handed over to the new owner by V K Sreeraman, an office bearer of the Induchoodan Foundation.
The auction, which was scheduled for June 30, had garnered significant attention on social media. The photo was on display at the 'Padiparakkunna Malayalam' exhibition at the Durbar Art Gallery in Kochi. The minimum bid for Mammootty’s photograph was Rs 1 lakh. This exhibition is part of the birth centenary celebrations of the Indian ornithologist and writer Induchoodan.
Known for his passion for photography, Mammootty posted pictures of his interests during the pandemic. His photograph featuring a common brown-coloured bulbul with a distinctive red vent perched on a broad leaf against a clear blue sky has gained wide momentum on social media. The actor poetically captioned the image: ‘A heart bubbling with joy and a restless tongue’.
The exhibition, which opened on June 27, showcased a total of 61 photographs by 23 talented photographers."
