Cyberbullying: ‘Malikappuram’ fame Deva Nandha's father files police complaint

Popular child actress Deva Nandha’s father has filed a police complaint alleging that his daughter is facing cyberbullying on social media. Deva Nandha is known for her role in the film ‘Malikappuram’.
A formal complaint was lodged with the Ernakulam cyber police wing by the Jibin, Deva Nandha’s father, on behalf of the child actor, addressing the issue of cyberbullying that his daughter has been facing.
The complainant alleged that his daughter has been facing cyberbullying after a segment from one of her interviews was misused by content creators on social media. A segment of the interview, which was originally given as part of the promotional activities for her latest movie ‘Gu’, was downloaded and edited by individuals claiming to be content creators. The video was then shared across social media platforms without permission, he says in the complaint.
Jibin said that the video has been very insulting to the young actress and that the edited video produced a load of bad remarks directed at his daughter. Deva Nandha’s father urges those responsible for sharing the video to remove the content immediately or else face legal action.
Deva Nandha was recognised for her role in the Unni Mukundan starrer ‘Malikappuram’. In the clip that has been circulating, the young actress was seen discussing the perception of the younger generation, emphasising that they are well-informed and not just acting cute for their age.
