Mumbai: As anticipation builds for the grand audio launch of Thalapathy Vijay’s upcoming film Jana Nayagan, actress Malavika Mohanan has shared a heartfelt message expressing her admiration for the star, calling it an honour to count him not just as a co-star but also as a friend.

Taking to X, Malavika said she was excited for the film’s audio launch and praised Vijay for being a special presence in her life.

"It’s been an absolute honour to have worked with Vijay sir & and even bigger honour to be able to call him a friend. He is a special person in every sense of the word,” her post read.

She wrote that working with him had been an enriching experience and added that she would be cheering for the film and its team “like millions of fans from across the globe.”

Malavika, who previously shared screen space with Vijay in the 2021 blockbuster Master, concluded by calling herself a proud “Now and always, a Thalapathy fan girl.” 

The audio launch of Jana Nayagan is expected to be held at the Bukit Jalil Stadium in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and promises to be a large-scale celebration. The event will unfold in two segments — ‘Thalapathy Thiruvizha’, a tribute concert featuring performances by nearly 30 singers, followed by the official audio launch.

Actor Vijay, director H. Vinoth, and the entire cast and crew of the film are expected to address fans during the event, making it one of the most anticipated promotional gatherings in recent times.

Jana Nayagan holds special significance as it is set to be Vijay’s final film before his full-fledged entry into politics through his party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam. The film has therefore generated massive interest among fans and political observers alike.

Meanwhile, Malavika Mohanan is gearing up for her Telugu debut with Prabhas’ upcoming film The Raja Saab. Interestingly, the film is slated to clash with Jana Nayagan at the box office on January 9, 2026, setting up a high-profile cinematic face-off.
