Aditya Dhar’s latest cinematic offering, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, is rewrite the history of Indian cinema. Within a mere 15 days of its global release, the high-octane thriller has amassed a staggering Rs 1,501 crore (gross) worldwide, officially crowning it the highest-grossing Indian film of all time.
The film, a sequel to the 2025 hit Dhurandhar, follows the complex journey of Jaskirat Singh Rangi (played by Ranveer Singh), a covert operative navigating the perilous underworld of Lyari, Karachi. Its commercial dominance is reflected in a string of broken records, including the fastest Indian film to hit the Rs 1,000 crore mark and the highest-grossing Indian release in North American markets.

Amidst this unprecedented "Dhurandhar-mania," lead actor R. Madhavan, who plays a pivotal role in the ensemble cast, decided to experience the audience's energy firsthand. The veteran actor recently slipped into a Mumbai theatre incognito, blending seamlessly with the crowd to watch the film as a regular viewer.
The moment was captured and shared by renowned exhibitor Akkshay Rathie on Instagram. Watching the actor immerse himself in the big-screen experience, Rathie playfully referenced Madhavan's on-screen persona, Ajay Sanyal, in his Stories:
“ISI can make whatever plans they want to. Just let them know, Ajay Sanyal has his eyes on them all the time! Such a fun time catching."
Rathie later posted a celebratory picture with the actor and a group of high-profile friends, including the founders of Masque Restaurant and IdeaForge, noting the significance of the evening:
