Lionel Richie hospitalised after St. Louis show, months after on-stage health scare

Musician Lionel Richie was hospitalised after performing in St. Louis on Saturday, raising fresh concern just months after the singer was forced to abruptly cut short a concert after feeling unwell on stage.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Richie is currently stable. The outlet reported that the singer checked himself into hospital following Saturday night's show and is doing okay.
Further details about his condition have not yet been made public.
The hospitalisation comes two months after Richie experienced a health scare during a concert in Minnesota in June while touring with Earth, Wind & Fire.
During that performance, Richie told the audience that he was feeling dizzy. He continued singing several songs while seated before leaving the stage for an intermission. However, he did not return to complete the concert.
The incident led to the postponement of two shows before Richie made his return to the stage in Pittsburgh on June 30.
Richie and Earth, Wind & Fire later completed their joint tour, which concluded earlier this month in Austin, Texas.
Saturday's St. Louis concert was Richie's first performance since the tour ended. The singer currently has 10 more shows scheduled for 2026, according to his website, with his next listed performance set for September 26 at Chase Center in San Francisco.
More information about Richie's health is awaited.
