UAE influencer Khalid Al Ameri confirms romance with Indian actress Sunaina in quiet birthday reveal
Emirati content creator Khalid Al Ameri, widely known for his comedic videos celebrating cultural quirks, has seemingly confirmed his relationship with Indian actor Sunaina Yella through a subtle but telling birthday post shared on Instagram.
The influencer, who has been spending increasing time in India and even made his Malayalam cinema debut earlier this year in 'Chatha Pacha: The Ring of Rowdies', surprised followers when one of the final images in his birthday carousel appeared to confirm the long-rumoured relationship.
Mirror selfie sparks confirmation
Khalid Al Ameri shared a series of intimate, dimly lit birthday images on Instagram, offering a rare glimpse into his celebrations and sparking excitement among his followers. His stories showed a restaurant adorned with flowers and soft lighting, setting a romantic tone for the evening. In one frame, he appeared in an all-black outfit while holding a bouquet – a notable departure from the traditional white robe his audience is accustomed to seeing.
Another photograph featured the influencer holding a woman’s hand, and the following image revealed her identity as actor Sunainaa. The post was captioned, "A beautiful night to remember الحمدلله", with the Arabic phrase translating to ‘thank you God’.
The post ended with a mirror selfie featuring the pair, fans quickly spotted that Sunainaa had been tagged. The pair stood closely together, holding hands, with Sunaina seen in a striking purple sari while Al Ameri wore a black shirt and trousers.
His Instagram Stories also included two more photos with the actor – one with their fingers intertwined, and another captioned, "Thank you for the beautiful birthday".
Romance rumours that began in 2024
Speculation around their relationship dates back to June 2024, when Sunaina posted a photo holding someone’s hand. The image drew attention after Al Ameri liked it, followed by Sunaina liking his similar post of two hands wearing rings, which he captioned "Alhamdulilah".
At the time, Sunaina issued a clarification to address viral reports surrounding her post, writing, "Hi, I’ve seen some articles going around regarding my last post and wanted to clarify that I am indeed happily engaged. Thank you for all the wonderful messages that are coming in, it means so much."
Further hints appeared on 8 February 2025, when Sunaina shared a picture of an Indian chaat dish and reposted a high-tea moment. Al Ameri uploaded identical images at the same time, with one of them believed to have been taken by him. Both sets of images were shot in Dubai, deepening the speculation.
