Kerala State Television Awards announced: No winners under serial, dubbing categories
Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Cultural Affairs Minister Saji Cheriyan on Wednesday announced the State Television Awards for the year 2022.
‘Bhoomi’ (directed by Midhun Chandran) and ‘Kanam’ (directed by Mridul T S) won awards for best teleserial/telefilms under the story category. The other winners are:
- Best actor: Shivaji Guruvayur
- Second best actor: Anu Varghese
- Best Actress: Shishira
- Second best actress: Athira Dileep
- Best teleserial/film directors: Midhun Chandran, Mridul T S
- Best actor (comedy): Bhasi Vaikom
- Child artist: Davanchi Santhosh
- Best screenplay: Sudhevan PP
- Music director: Jishnu Tilak
- Best commentator: Prof Aliyar
- Best news cameraman: Shaju KV, Mathrubhumi
Meanwhile, there are no winners under the best serial category. The jury noted that entries received under the category were of the sitcom and social satire genres. As a result, no entries were considered. Similarly, the jury remarked that entries received for best comedy programme were not up to the mark. Hence, no entries were considered under that category too. Entries under the child programme category were fewer, the jury added. The jury also abstained from selecting the best dubbing artist.
