It all started with an Instagram post. A viral post claimed that a Kerala man once drove Michael Jackson’s car. The claim caught people’s attention, sparking curiosity. Who was this man? And how did he land such a unique job?

Meet Ramesh, a native of Kannur’s Payyannur, whose life took an unexpected turn when he moved to Bahrain in search of work. What seemed like an ordinary job as a company driver soon led him to an extraordinary opportunity—working with the King of Pop himself.

A lucky break
Ramesh got his start driving for one of Michael Jackson’s staff members through a friend’s recommendation. One day, when the regular driver went on leave, Ramesh stepped in to drive for Jackson’s secretary. Impressed by his skills, the secretary arranged an interview, and soon, Ramesh found himself in a role he never imagined—driving for Michael Jackson.

Six months with a legend
From January to June 2007, Ramesh spent six unforgettable months driving Jackson around Bahrain. He got a glimpse into the music icon’s world, an experience he cherishes to this day.

For Ramesh, Jackson’s passing in 2009 wasn’t just the loss of a global superstar—it was deeply personal. Now, years later, his story has come back into the limelight, thanks to social media.
