Kerala HC cancels case against Omar Lulu’s ‘Nalla Samayam’

Kochi: The Kerala High Court on Thursday cancelled the case against Omar Lulu’s ‘Nalla Samayam’. The case, which was registered by the Kozhikode excise range office for allegedly promoting the use of banned substances in the movie, was cancelled by a bench chaired by Justice VG Arun.
“If you begin filing cases like this, then the villains in movies will be in trouble,” the court said, while considering the plea filed by the film’s producer and director.
Meanwhile, Omar Lulu had earlier announced that he would declare the OTT release date of ‘Nalla Samayam’ on March 20. The film, which hit theatres on December 30, 2022 was withdrawn from screens after four days following the case.
