'I’d love to do Mohanlal's role in Kilukkam remake': Kalyani Priyadarshan

Actress Kalyani Priyadarshan has expressed her interest in being part of a remake of the iconic Malayalam film Kilukkam, saying she would love to portray the character originally played by Mohanlal.
Speaking to Grihalakshmi magazine, Kalyani said, “I want to act in a Kilukkam remake. There would be something different if I portrayed Lal uncle’s character in the movie and Pranav Mohanlal did Revathy ma'am's role.”
She also opened up about her comfort working with fellow actor Pranav, stating, “I am comfortable working with anyone. But I’ve been good friends with Pranav since childhood, so I feel more at ease while working with him.”
The actress further revealed her admiration for legendary dancer and actress Shobana. Recalling the 1994 hit Thenmavin Kombath, Kalyani said she was deeply inspired by Shobana’s performance as Karthumbi. “I couldn’t even do 10 per cent of what Shobana did in that film,” she admitted.
On the work front, Kalyani Priyadarshan will be teaming up next with the ‘Premalu’ actor Naslen for a film bankrolled by Dulquer Salmaan’s production house. Also, she will also be part of Fahadh Faasil starrer 'Odum Kuthira Chadum Kuthira' and the Tamil-language fantasy comedy film 'Genie' alongside Jayam Ravi.
