Kalidas Jayaram weds Tarini Kalingarayar at Guruvayur temple | WATCH

Young actor Kalidas Jayaram and model Tarini Kalingarayar began a new chapter in their lives as they tied the knot in a traditional ceremony at the Guruvayur Sri Krishna Temple on Sunday.
The wedding was an intimate affair attended by close family members, including Kalidas’ parents, veteran actor Jayaram and former actress Parvathy (Aswathy), and Tarini’s parents, Harihar Raj and Arathy.
Prominent figures such as actor-politician Suresh Gopi, Kerala Public Works and Tourism Minister P A Mohammed Riyas, and his wife, T Veena, also attended the event.
The couple’s wedding attire stood out for its timeless charm. Kalidas wore a red mundu and melmundu with a golden border, styled in the traditional panchakacham manner. Tarini looked radiant in a peach-colored saree adorned with intricate golden embroidery. Jasmine flowers in her hair added a graceful finishing touch to her elegant look.
The Guruvayur Temple holds special significance for the Jayaram family, as it was also the venue for Kalidas’ sister Malavika’s wedding to Navaneeth Gireesh earlier this year on May 3.
Emotional moments at the pre-wedding ceremony
The celebrations began with a pre-wedding event in Chennai, where heartfelt speeches captured the joy of the moment. Speaking at the event, Jayaram expressed his happiness, saying: “This is one of the happiest days of my life. Kalidas’s wedding has been a dream for us, and that dream is now coming true. I’ve heard so much about the Kalingarayar family, and it feels like a blessing from God that Tarini, from such a noble lineage, is becoming a part of our family. I don’t see her as a daughter-in-law; she’s like a daughter to me. In our home, she will not be a daughter-in-law but a beloved daughter. The wedding will be held at Guruvayur on the 8th of December.”
Kalidas, visibly emotional, shared his excitement by saying it's undoubtedly one of the most important and happiest moments of my life.
"Starting a new journey with Tarini is something I deeply cherish," he said.
The Jayaram family had personally delivered the wedding invitation to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin during a special meeting.
