Devara: Part 1 (2024)

Released in cinema halls on Friday, 'Devara: Part 1' has made a strong double-digit entry at the box office. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film has minted Rs. 77 crore (nett) in India, across languages. Of this, it earned Rs 68.6 crore from the Telugu version while the Hindi version collected Rs. 7 crore on the first day. It was also released in Kannada, Tamil, and Malayalam languages, collecting a combined amount of roughly Rs. 3 crore from the three languages.

RRR (2022)

Director SS Rajamouli’s periodical drama film, ‘RRR’, starring Jr. NTR and Ram Charan in the leading roles, wasn’t just a humongous success at the Indian box office but also on the international front. One of the most successful Indian films, ‘RRR’ made a record-shattering collection of Rs. 223 crore (worldwide). It is said to be the highest opening for any Indian film to date. In India, the film reportedly earned Rs. 156 crore on the day it was released. It remains the biggest opener of Jr. NTR’s career. Overall, ‘RRR’ earned over Rs. 1400 crore (worldwide), while also winning an Academy Award in the Best Original Song category for ‘Naatu Naatu’.

Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava (2018)

Starring Jr. NTR, Pooja Hegde, Jagapati Babu, and others, ‘Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava’ is a Trivikram Srinivas-directorial. It opened to a blockbuster response in the Telugu-speaking states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana by minting over Rs. 26 crore on its maiden day in the theaters. Its worldwide collections on the first day at the box office stood at Rs. 60 crore, making it one of the highest-grossing Telugu films of that year. The action film was deemed a commercial success, collecting overall around Rs. 180 crore (worldwide).

Jai Lava Kusa (2017)

Jr. NTR is one of the few actors who have had the opportunity to play a triple role in a film. He played Jai, Lava, and Kusa’s roles in director K.S. Ravindra’s actioner ‘Jai Lava Kusa.’ When it was released in cinema halls on September 21, 2017, the film made an opening day collection of Rs. 32 crore alone from the Telugu-speaking states, taking its worldwide collections to Rs. 46 crore, per reports. Its lifetime earnings are said to be between Rs. 130-150 crore (worldwide).

Janatha Garage (2016)

Mohanlal and Jr. NTR starrer ‘Janatha Garage’ was released on 1950 screens across the world upon its release on September 1, 2016. Also featuring Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Nithya Menen as the female protagonists, the film reportedly made an opening day collection of Rs. 41 crore. As per reports, the overall earnings of ‘Janatha Garage’ stand at Rs. 135 crore (worldwide) and were declared a critical and commercial success
